Today, I wanted to share another page using this super cute kit from My Scrapbook Nook

It was my turn to post a challenge - and this time I had the designer showcase - I chose a few fun quilted pinspiration pieces to come up with this page:

I drew inspiration from the first pinterest piece I posted. I really want to keep it kind of simple and use a lot of paper... so this was what I came up with! Like it :) Not my normal kind of messy thing, but I think the photo stands out a lot and that is important - right?

Can't get enough of those Cosmo Cricket sentiments from my stash.. just had to add one here :

Believe it or not, I did 8 pages and 2 cards this weekend - over two nights only. I love it when you are super inspired by product and you can dig in and get messy.

I certainly did...I wanted to share a few projects today that I did with my Scrapbook Circle kit this month - Remember This.

It's hard to tell from this photo - but all the dark brown parts showing is not part of this paper - the whole honeycomb pattern was cut out with my handy exacto knife.. some spaces in and some out. Then, I pop dotted the whole darn thing over the brown background paper. In real life - it is an awesome effect. You are just going to have to trust me on that one ;)

This kit is loaded with tons of new CHA stuff from My Mind's Eye, Elle's Studio, Crate Paper and even some October Afternoon too! Look at how great everything works together. I also picked up the super steal Add-On this month and you can see the chipboard and brads here :

Everything just goes together in this kit. It may not have been made to go, but Lisa always has a way of picking just the right stuff from different lines to make it work!

It has been a whirlwind scrapping weekend for me again.. I got 2 pizza boxes with some gorgeous kits... going to share a quick page I did using the kit for February from My Scrapbook Nook

the kit is FILLED with October Afternoon Sasparilla - love this denim paper, and I am addicted to the flower sacks.. all the diecut/punched shapes are awesome for layering!

And this twine I had in my stash- thanks to Deborah ;) I picked up a few more of the October Afternoon sprinklers that were an add-on this month ... I love the chalky, opaque look on the page when I splatter them :)

I did three from this kit this weekend - here is a peek of another page I did using the same kit, will share it later this week ;) I love all the neat patterns .. this page shows almost all of them!

I wish I had some cute Valentine's Day projects to share.. but, sadly no.. :( I have been pinning lots of cute stuff on pinterest though.. have you been making anything for your kids or significant other for the big love day tomorrow? link me up - would love to see!

First up, here are my last few projects for Jillibean Soup that were up on the blog in January:

I love the birthday theme of Spotted Owl soup - and the colours were perfect with these photos of my yongest son at his outdoor birthday party last summer! Check out the awesome Jillibean / Unity Stamps ..,. I love those Sweet & Sour stamps!!!

My failed attempt at candles...lol..

my sewing maching is not co-operating these days in the tension department... anyone have any tips for me!?!!! The zig zag is especially not working well :(

I was going to share with you a card that I created for CHA ... but it was picked up at CHA from Paper Creations!!! so, I will show you a sneak instead!

Jillibean has come out with some cute coin envelopes, and glassine envelopes this CHA.I used one of the glassine envelopes on this card (behind the corrugated frame). I did punch a bunch of hearts from the paper and put it in the envelope - hard to see in the photo. I also just LOVE the new Cool Beans - Jillibean buttons that came out too. I could use them on every project, they are so great!

SO - we all have photos that are just too bright or busy that are hard to find just the right papers for in our stash, right?

I had these cute photos from last Halloween of my youngest son that I really have been wanting to put to paper for a while - but just haven't had the right paper.... until now!

This month, I have been lucky enough to get to work with My Mind's Eye - Funday for Let's Capture Our Memories. It is a great line - I love how thick the papers are!!! Seriously, I think double the thickness of other lines out there.

Here is the first page I am sharing over on the blog today:

I just love the kraft and colour mix- it really worked well with the brgiht red and yellow in the photos I had!

I added some goodies in too, of course.. ;)

I love the Ormolu HE flair, and the bright felt strips from the MME embellishment pack too.

A few glitter paper stars and voila... a fun halloweeny page!

The Let's Capture Our Memories store is ungoing some changes and upgrades. We are making room for all the new goodies from CHA that has been ordered - so, stay tuned - lots more to come!

So, eveyone in the scrapping world is all a fluster with CHA this week..I so badly want to go one day.. *sigh*.. maybe it will happen next year. Just isn't in the finances for me right now.

I found this photo at Scrapbookupdate from this years CHA - Jillibean booth of my page and one of the cards I made (the banner one)!

I was really lucky to use this line for Let's Capture Our Memories this month.. I love it!

Just a few layers of paper.. oh, I need new paper... that purge I did a few weeks ago made me realize that I dont have tons left!!! but, I think I will survive for a while :)

I think I will wait a bit and load up my cart at Let's Capture Our Memories.. the girls have ordered so many good things.. I cannot wait for my pizza boxes!!!!!!

I can't share more yet.. but I am in love with this Fancy Pants paper !!! This time, I just picked up the 6x6 paper pad instead of getting the large sheets (thanks Deborah for the idea ).. I love the colour combo...and that long lost raw Heidi Swapp chipboard I found in my stash... I can't wait to share the whole page with you.. but that will have to wait!!!

More scrapping to come this weekend for me too.. I have no assignments to work on - can you believe!!! It is like a free reign time and I have no clue what to do.. isn't that horrible! I think I will take a chance to get some new photos taken and developed.. been a while since I did that :) Need to scour Pinterest for some cool and different photo ideas for my kids. I see moustache photos in my near future..lol

Productive weekend!

Don't you love a productive week and weekend too! I have been lucky enough to have both .. I purged 3 big boxes of scrap stuff this week, went through some old boxes of junk last weekend too! Looks like I will be listing some stuff on kijiji next weekend!

I also got 9 pages done this weekend!! YIKES! Isn't that crazy!!! A few were assignments, but just thought I would share a few tonight of the ones that weren't - I haven't done a non- assignment in months... so it was weird.. i didnt' know what to do with myself! lol

First up is my fave one using a sketch on the October Afternoon blog by Danni Reid:

I dug into all that OA that I had been hoarding and realized just how much I did have too! YIkes, I love their stuff, so I made another page... didn't turn out quite what I had imagined.. but wanted to take a stab at one of the 8 week challenges over at Let's Capture Our Memories and did this page:

And lastly, another project for fun using the January kit from My Scrapbook Nook featuring Lilybee Head over Heels.. love this line too ! Can't get enough! The challenge was by Hilde to scraplift ourselves...so I scraplifted a page I did for Scrapbook Circle with tons of little pennants...? here is the new page:

This time, I made the pennants larger and added some butterflies... in my search and purge I found an old Scenic Route chipboard butterfly set... my new butterfly template! :)

This week, hoping to register for Crop and Create here in Winnipeg in late March.. anyone going ???

The January kit from Scrapbook Circle is so amazing, it is full of great lines and all lovey dovey too ;)

I love how the kits are full of different lines, patterns and texture. This kit is no exception. I love love love the black cheron pattern (that is so 'in" these days). I have a small problem with pennant edges to my pages.. so caution.. almost all my pages have that this month ;)

I cut this pennant into a ton of piece of one of the Fancy Pant's papers in the kit, layered it with some scraps I had and stitched it all down one edge. Came together quickly.

More fun stickers from Fancy Pants on some cardstock for layering :)

and who couldn't love the MME strips package (the whole thing!) that is in the kit!! Love all the little kraft bits inside of it!

I have the great Yearology line from Simple Stories to use this month for Let's Capture Our Memories... I love all the whimsical items in this line, there are 3 sticker sheets.. and I have a small sticker problem.. yes, I do love stickers. Never did grow out of that phase.

I love love love the cute Cosmo Cricket Tiny Type phrases from the store.. love them!!!

and added in some Bella Blvd. stickers too.. they co-ordinate really well with this line:

plus, some Bella Blvd. alphas and Authentique mini circle alphas... love the Bella ones all sanded lightly on the edges... I could have these letters in every colour.

And those stamps.. well, the month ones? Those are from Unity.. I love all my Jillibean Soup Unity Stamps so much, I had to order these ones just to use on my January projects.. I love them!!! The images are so crisp!

... for 2011... using the December Nook kit - full of Crate Paper Peppermint!

Just a simple little birthday card made for one of our Nook members who is celebrating a birthday today!

I was thinking that this pretty pink paper would be perfect for a baby girl card too! I love how it mixes with the pale aqua and white too :)

It's almost a new month and a new kit too!! I am playing along in January, although it is my off month.. is is a good kit!!! Loads of Lilybee to be had!!!

Yes, she certainly is.. my girl is so girly it is really crazy. It is even more evident given she has 2 older brothers. This year she has been more and more girly... this was her on her 2nd bday..almost a year ago!

This month all the DT at Jillibean Soup needed to make 1 project using only a 6x6 paper pad sheets! This was my take. I used a lot of the different pads together - a lot of the patterns and shades really do work well together!

I added in a few kraft tags with Jillibean twine and some diecut stickers too. I love the little wooden buttons that Jillibean came out with at summer CHA!!! The flower is so cute :)

But, my new fave is the Raisins paper from the Sweet & Sour line. I posted a few weeks ago, a page I had done for Scrapbook Circle using it and punched the letters from it.. I did the same thing here to write fabulous.. they are a little bit smaller - but love that look! and so easy too:

I also love the new font for the corrugated alphas - and the white takes mist so well - some Maya Mist added to these ones to make them pink!

Christmas 2011

is over at our place. All the gifts are gone - and all the food has been eating. The kids are busy playing with their new goodies and starting to get bored with each other..lol

Here today to share a page I did using some good ol' member inspiration for My Scrapbook Nook using the December kit - featuring Crate Paper Peppermint.

I chose to lift a page by the super talented Becky Williams and came up with this page:

I also had the Pebbles ribbon add-on for this month's kit and added some of the beautiful green ribbon with some foam holly I found at a craft store.

I added in lots of little strips from the one of the papers in the kit that look like little gift tags and pop dotted them!

A few little snowflakes and bling.. and voila!

As I am sure most of you are - been busy at home baking, creating, wrapping... I have been playing with the Holly Jolly collection from Echo Park that I had this month for Let's Capture Our Memories!

Here are some projects that I made - they all took almost no time at all and were fun to do too!

A holiday paper banner for my dreary cubicle at work:

It was a lot of fun to make this - my boys helped.. and they want me to make some for home too! I think we will do that next year for sure!

Just sharing another page using the December kit from My Scrapbook Nook - featuring Crate Paper Peppermint!

It is a gorgeous collection - lots of possibilities for non- holiday related pages, and this time, I wanted to do a wintery page vs. a Christmassy one :)

Here it is all messy and yet lots of white space too!

I love how Crate Paper distresses nicely - and not too crazy either. I love the torn look with these photos of the boys. Definitely a more rougher look. Of course, I couldn't resist adding in more baker's twine from the Twinery too. Love that red colour!

This month has flown by - it seems like just yesterday I posted about the beginning of Christmas!

Needless to say - Christmas aside, this has been a busy month for us in our house. Emotionally draining, and adding Christmas into the mix has made it physically draining too!

For those who know me well, they know - well, I am a planner. I make lists, get things accomplished - I just get stuff done. I hate being late, missing a deadline and feel so much guilt or anxiety as one comes looming near if I am not done!

This is why I get things done early. For example, Christmas shopping. HATE IT.

Yes, I am a female - and I basically hate shopping. In stores that is. Online, I am fine with :) I hate the pushyness at the malls and stores this time of year. It is so sad that everyone is hustling and pushy and some even down right mean.. that is certainly not what the holidays are about. So - I avoid the malls and the stores like the plague, by shopping early - yes, I miss out on lots of deals - and buying online. WHY?

1) It is much less of a hassle. No pushing, no shoving. In and out

2) I get the gifts I want. No need to waste times driving around looking for something that is potentially sold out everywhere.

3) A lot of the stores have online shipping for free or cheap this time of year. Sometimes all that gas wasted driving around is just not worth it!

4) Have you ever dragged 3 kids with you Christmas shopping = not fun. :)

So, I am done - all the gifts purchased and wrapped. Yes, done. All the baking done. It is time for this busy mama to rest and relax and enjoy some peace. Sit in front of the tree with some egg nog and watch a good holiday movie.

A few of us over at Jillibean Soup had the opportunity this month to use a sketch created by Becky Fleck from Pagemaps for her December PageMaps.

Here is my take on the sketch I used:

I used a good mix of different Jillibean Soup lines for this page - Homemade 6 Bean Soup, Apple CheddarHearty Barley and Sweet & Sour Soup. The onlu think that isn't Jillibean on this page is the brown twine and the little Papertrey Ink heart tag. I love how all the Jillibean lines work together - or on their own.

Is the name of this months kit at Scrapbook Circle.. I shared a page with you last week of myself.. and I wanted to share another page today of my favorite little girl using the same kit!

I just love all that is in this kit - I so love how Lisa manages each month to mix and match the perfect things for her kits!!! This one is no exception. Of course, you know how fond I am of Jillibean Soup - and the Sweet and Sour line - and there were some bits and pieces of it in this kit :) Mix that with some Pink Paislee, October Afternoon and American Crafts = WHAMMO - gorgeous kit! I went a little pennant banner shape crazy this month.. ;)

A few cards from my Nook kit!

Just stopping by to share a few quick gift card cards that I made for the teacher's gift cards this year. I added in a few little paper bags to slide the gift cards in - but everything else is in the My Scrapbook Nook December kit!

For the two wreath cards, I punched some shapes and folded them... added some bling and pearls.. and there you have it :)

I like this one the best. The wreath was made with a bunch of 1/2" cirlces folded together.

I love the little tree made from rolled paper.

Fun with cardboard!!!

This month's kit at Scrapbook Circle has a corrugated cardboard sheet in it! I was tasked to use this item in a certain way and I actually came up with a few things. I used the majority of the sheet to make this mini album:

All the little bits of goodies in this kit were great additions to use in the mini album - I even used some Elle's Studio tags from the Nov. Kit from Scrapbook Circle too!

Sorry, the pic of the inside is kind of small...but you can see I punched and cut out some more shapes from the cardboard sheet for embellies inside the book too!

I really love being challenged to use a product in a different way!

I also used it instead of a piece of paper on a layout I shared with you a few weeks ago here:

This time, I added some white paint to the cardboard and sanded it off to make the pennant shape!

Lots of mist added to the cover of an old chipboard album, with some Holly Jolly chipboard too!

I actually used a 6x6 paper pad instead of getting regular sized paper this month.. love all the punched out 25s for the last day!

and since I was low on chipboard album pages, I threw in some tags and a Maya Road envelope - perfect for letters to Santa ;)

My Scrapbook Nook

This month at the Nook the December kit is full of Crate Paper Peppermint!!! It is such a fun and pretty kit!

Just wanted to share a page I did - that is not Christmassy at all ... I really wanted to show that although this is a Christmas themed kit - you can really do so much more with it!

I added in some spoltches from my new October Afternoon mist.. I love the seafoam green/blue colour... and it is so good on dark colours! (thanks for the suggestion Sharon ;) )

I added lots of little pieces of paper in the form of tags and pennant shapes too. I love the red letters on the Crate Paper sticker sheet in the kit too!

Yikes - seriously where did this year go to!!!

Thankfully, we have been quite fortunate up here in chilly Winterpeg as people across our country like to call our city! lol We have had relatively mild weather for this time of year - but we also have another 4 months of winter like weather to deal with!

Here today to help get us all into the Christmas spirit with a page I did for Jillibean Soup this month, oozing lots of Christmas Eve Chowder and some Petaloo products too! We are having a cross promo with them this month and were given some wicked flowers and holiday embellies to play with.

Anyways, here is a page I did with the Jillibean Soup - Christmas Eve Chowder line:

I just LOVE the new corrugated alphas - the font is super easy to use on pages of all types!! Plus, I used a 6x6 paper pack (Sweet &Sour line), and cut out the letters for the title - the "Christmas" ones. Love the font and I think it would be a great new embellie for JBS? Don't you?!

I am off work today - and off to finish my holiday shopping! Only 3 gifts left to get :)

... I am 38.. today is not the greatest day for me. Not because I am old...lol
I have been surrounded lately by lots of family drama.
Totally unnecessary, but has certainly put a few things for me in perspective.

I have realized in my old age.. lol, that I need to be true to who I am, of what my feelings are, and not be concerned with other people's drama. If I am important enough to them, they will make time and be around when they are needed.

Which means lots of new projects !!

I just wanted to share with you a bit of the December - Note to Self kit from Scrapbook Circle!

It is jam packed full of Echo Park, October Afternoon, Pink Paislee and Jillibean Soup!!!!

I am not a fast scrapper by any means...a layout normally takes me 2 hours for sure. BUT, I opened this kit last Friday night and seriously created 3 pages in just over 3.5 hours !!! Everything just works. It is not intended to be all matchy matchy - but all the products Lisa has chosen just work so great together!!

Here is a page I made with this kit - I think it is my new fave of late.

I just love this Sweet & Sour paper - Raisins - from Jillibean

and I love that my small circle punch pops those cool letters out into mini alphas!!!

Hmm... maybe I should mention to them that this would be a cool new product.. I mean CHA is around the corner isn't it!

Aren't babies the cutest??

This is my newest niece at just a few months old.

I really wanted to scrap a page with tons of big pennant shapes.. and I love how the Crate Paper - Random that I got from Let's Capture Our Memories this month worked on this page! I love the colours.

It is seriously one of my favorite lines from Crate.

How real do these butterflies look too all glittered with stickles and pop dotted?

Love the mix of papers with the chipboard pieces that I got from Let's Capture Our Memories..seriously LOVE!

It's not often that the hubs and I pose for a photo.. but this year, I forced him too...lol.

Here is us just a few months shy of our 12 year anniversary:

I used lots of Jillibean Soup Homemade 6 Bean Soup on this page.

I really love the colours and the cute feel to the products. I could use them over and over again!

I think my fave product on this page is the Pea Pods - Jillibean's version of a die cut. The shapes are great, awesoem for layering and the colours pop! Not just white diecut shapes here folks! NOPE!

Jillibean really does not dissapoint. I just finished off a few projects for December.. trust me, you will love what the DT is working on this month. We have a cool cross-promo going on too... Love that!

One Item Wonder

Every month at the Scrapbook Circle blog, we have a feature we call One Item Wonder.. one or two of the DT members is challenged to use one of the items in that month's kit in a unique way.

This month, I had to use the Fancy Pants Die cut package.... here is the page I created with this one item. This month, I used basically only the die cuts and a piece of white cardstock!

I also added in a wee bit of the Studio Calico kraft border stickers to the page along with a cut out of the Studio Calico silouette paper..and added in some mini alphas from a previous SC kit!

Normally, I don't love soft colours.. but I really love these diecuts.. and did I mention that they are a linen like texture?? Yes, they are awesome.

So, hurry up and go get your Scrapbook Circle kit before they sell out!!!

Just quickly stopping by to share a few quick cards I made using some new Jillibean Soup that hit the blog last week.

I picked up the Jillibean Soup / Unity Stamp co-branded Sweet & Sour Soup stamps...they are my new fave!!

I used them to make a few cards.. here are two that I did recently:

I just love little pennant tags for birthday cards.. they go well with this Homemade 6 Bean soup:

I coloured in the sentiment for this one with some ink and a paintbrush.

Punched another shape from the red corrugated cardboard sheet and added a Jillibean Soup button that I had misted with yellow Maya Mist.

Love it when a card comes together really quickly.. I think this one took me about 15 mins. I just stamped the sentiment over and over on the card, added a punched star from one of the corrugated sheets.

This time kraft coloured.

I love the card sentiment soup labels.. all the soup labels are so cool.. I just can't get enough of them.

I had several Jillibean Soup projects hit the blog the last week or so.. thought I would quickly share a couple for you now!

We have started something new over at the Jillibean blog.. a Designer challenge! This month, we were tasked to use the new corrugated cardboard sheets from Jillibean!

I made these cupcakes using the corrugated sheets, some of the pea pods (diecuts) and some tissue paper:

The corrugated sheets are so easy to punch shapes with! I punched a few shapes and layered them on top of some already cut out corrugated frames by Jillibean too!

Just a quick card I made using the cardboard sheet as part of the background .. my attempt at a boyish card:

I just love the floral paper and cut out several of the flowers from the paper and pop dotted them for dimension:

The mixture of chipboard and sticker letters are gorgeous.. love that:

and I love this grey frame. So glad I got both the chipboard and diecut sheets - although the images are the same, they work well together and are great for layering.

Versatility

I love it when you have products that are maybe intended for one thing - like Christmas or Summer, and you can use them for something entirely different.

This month's kit at Scrapbook Circle is very fallish.. but really, what I love about the kit is how versatile it is!

I made this fun page with lots of pieces from the Harvest Festival kit - there are so many fun colours and patterns... I went a little fun with it!

I love the fact that this month there is an Alphabet in the kit's printable! That's right, you can print the letters whatever size you want.. mine here were done when the printable was done on an 8.5x11 sheet.

(don't you love the stamped images.. my newest addiction - Sweet & Sour stamps by Unity for Jillibean Soup)

The Fancy Pants diecuts are my FAVE FAVE thing in the kit... I love all the colours, the shapes and this title was perfect for my page..

One last LCOM project!

Wow - I can't believe it is Halloween already. The kids are all getting ready to Trick or Treat tonight... will try to post some pics of my little monsters soon. But, for now, I will share one last project using some Pink Paislee Mistables that I did for Let's Capture Our Memories this month.

This time, I am sharing a page I did using the Pink Paislee mistable mask

and a whole lot of scraps from my stash too.

I really wanted to give some gesso a try - but I didn't have any - and didn't have a lot of time to go searching for some.. so I used a few layers of white paint and then misted it. It looks ok... I would love to still try the gesso though. I do, however, love the October Afternoon Boarding Pass alphas on this page.

My Last Creative Scrappers Page...

... I have loved working for Kristine at Creative Scrappers as a layout designer for the last year or so.. I didn't reapply for the DT this time around... but I will be still with Creative Scrappers as a Sketch Artist!

Here is the page I did using My Little Shoebox and Sketch 180 - my kidlets last Halloween all dressed up ready to trick or treat!

I had to add some Doodlebug Glitter paper for those stars.. so pretty!

I also used those Jillibean Soup stamps again (from my Oct Nook kit)

I can't wait to go house to house with the kids.. this is actually the first year we are decorating the house/yard for Halloween. The kids are pretty excited... and so are we! This should be the first year that Addison will really get into the whole trick or treat thing too.

Harvest Festival

I just finished working on my November kit for Scrapbook Circle.. and it came at just the right time too!!

I just love how Lisa picks just the right name for these kits - and this one is a festival for sure!

I had recently taken some autumn photos of the kids in the woods behind the school (that sounds so bad, I know)...and the shots were really perfect to use with this lovely autumn kit!

One of my fave things in this kit has to be the Apple Cheddar Soup woodgrain paper from Jillibean. It really is just the right mix of brown & kraft.

That soft Maya Road flower is a lovely shade of orange....

I added in some twine from the Scrapbook Circle add on section too!

Colour

I love colour.

Lots of it.

It makes me feel happy.

Certain colours make me feel peaceful, some crazy and some just make me feel damn good.

The colours in the Sweet & Sour line from Jillibean Soup do that to me.

They make me feel damn good. Inspired to create.

The line has pretty much all my go-to colours in it.

I created this page in about 1 hour.. that is pretty good for me. I am a long time taker scrapper..lol

I just seriously took out my Jillibean Soup pea pods and started to layer them. I added in some of the stickers from the diecut sticker sheet.. and away I went.

Those cute corrugated alphas are seriously fun. I love how big they are and the fact that you can sand/distress them.. or leave them plain and fabulous is allright for me too.

The Maya Road Mists that I have been hoarding are so vibrant too - the orange, blue hydrangea and pink lemonade colours are perfect with Watermelon Gazpacho and Sweet & Sour Soup.

I can't believe it is almost Halloween.. and Christmas is right around the corner. I have been busy getting some holiday projects done for Jillibean soup. Have you been making Christmas cards and homemade gifts? I would love to get some ideas for teachers!!!

I think this page is my most favorite made with the kit.. I just love those MME brads in the kit. They really just need to be used on their own.. as is!

I added in a few of the new Authentique word phrases that just seemed to fit with the page!

I made a few flowers from the ribbon and some leftover mistables ribbon for this page...

I just love the pops of aqua mixed in with the golden yellow and black - that isn't too black.. if you know what I mean. I love the tone on tone of that black paper!

I rubbed a lot of red Stampin' Up ink on this one and left the centre white. Added another homemade canvas flower from the scalloped strip trim:

This one was spritzed with the Pink Paislee mistable mask.. love that pattern:

I misted the ruffle trim on this one and frayed the edges a bit for a more shabby look.

This month at Let's Capture Our Memories, I chose to work with Pink Paislee Mistables.

I said it before - I love this product line. It allowed me to use up some of my ever growing collection of mists that I have been hoarding lately.

I wanted to create something to hang in our kitchen, and this is what I came up with:

Just stopping by today to share a page that I did using this month's kit at Scrapbook Circle - Fresh Picked!

It is full of new Lilybee Memorandum goodies... love the graphic papers in this kit!

Check out these awesome Wood Shop alphas from Pink Paislee - I added some yellow ink to them.

oh, and that heart is from the same alpha set- just added some red mist to it instead!

I am addicted to accordian flowers.. I think they are great for masculine pages and they are not so girly...

does that make sense?

I love the new Homemade 6 Bean Soup line from Jillibean Soup - the combination of colours and patterns really is warm and homey. The sentments on the diecut sticker sheets is perfect for pages and cards..and I couldn't resist using this one layered over one of the awesome corrugated frames from Jillibean Soup too!

A little ribbon and of course, some baker's twine add just a little nice touch to the frame.

I starting to enjoy making cards more and more these days... they come together quickly (and sometimes even not so quickly).. and are just the right thing when I am in a creative mood, but short on time.

It's a new month - and that means all new products from Let's Capture Our Memories.

This month, I chose the Mistables Collection from Pink Paislee.

and...

Here is the first page I created with this line. A lot more shabby than I normally do my pages, but I love how it turned out!

After I finished the page, I added some liquid glue and sprinkled some glitter and rubbed it in. It reminds me of sand here.

I added some lovely Prima flowers, buttons, and even sequins from my stash.

I inked up a Mistable Fuzzy sticker and layered it with some canvas from the canvas trim.

I love the Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam (oil spill colour) in some splotches.

I used the scallop edged mistable trim to make this flower and added a few buttons to the centre.

In love with neutral twine these days - had to add some of that in a whimsical pattern

and the alphas.. seriously you can colour them in a few different ways - here was ink in 2 different colours.. a nice dandelion yellow colour dabbed with a little brown in some spots.

I know it is fall... and I should be thinking of pumpkins and costumes...but I am thinking ORANGE.. does that help?

I created this page for Jillibean Soup on the blog today.. and although it is summery...

it is full of orange!!

I love this shade of orange, from the Watermelon Gazpacho line.. and it was so easy to create this page with the Pea Pods and Diecut sticker sheet... Jillibean makes it so easy!

So, unless you were under a rock in the scrapping world this weekend - you would know that it was Card Making Day on Saturday!

I had just gotten my October Scrapbook Circle kit - so it was the perfect time to create a few cards with the Fresh Picked kit!

I was drawn to the Pebbles Inc. papers in the kit for these cards:

Check out the cool embossed pattern in the paper! Don't you love the yellow misted wood chip heart from the alphas set?! I do ;)

and my first attempt at a gate card - still need to work at it a bit:

I also created a simple card for My Scrapbook Nook for one of the many card challenges we have going on. If youare looking to be inspired in the card dept - this is the place to be!

Here is my card for THIS challenge by Danni:

I added some MME Lost and Found 2 and some Pink Paislee Mistables all coloured in yellow Stampin' Up ink and some suede Tattered Angels mist.

I don't know what got me into making a circle shaped card - but I love it!!

Why have I been so "in the box" in the card dept!

I need to do more.. I have an idea brewing for a fun Christmas card.. ;)

I had this page go up over at Jillibean Soup BLOG the other day and wanted to share it! I used basically every one of the new lines on it.. and it was fun to put together.

We have done a product swap with Fiskars and I used my new favorite punch from them, which I put to use on this page! The Postage Stamp Punch!

I punched lots of bits of all the new lines and just seriously laid them all over the page.. then added some stitching and layered more bits and pieces to the page!

How often do you go back and scrap a photo and one taken a year ago or more to compare?

I don't often, in fact, at all! I was browsing through my "to be scrapped" pile of photos and came across an "extra" photo of my daughter a year ago, and one that was recently taken. I couldn't believe how much she has grown up in really, such a short period of time.

So, I decided to scrap it! I mean, why not!

I used more of the Girls Paperie - Kitch that I had from Let's Capture Our Memories to create this page:

I added in a few pieces of ribbon from my stash, and used my Ali Edwards Technique Tuesday stamps too.. love those.

I picked up some of the K&CO. SMASH book tabs .. think they go great with this line!

And of course, I had to add a little twine from The Twinery to the photos...

along with a couple charms from Jenni Bowlin.

And here is another piece of the Pink Paislee Artisian Ephemra I have been posting about- this time misted with Suede Glimmer Mist and then rubbed with some brown ink too :)

That is it for my September creations for Let's Capture Our Memories.. ...

But October is right around the corner... ;)

Just stopping by quickly to share a few cards I made with more Girls Paperie for Let's Capture Our Memories this month!

I really love the vintage patterns in the line.. they do make for pretty patterns on cards too :)

I mixed in a little of that Basic Grey ribbon tape I had picked up from LCOM a few months ago

and here is one of the Pink Paislee Artisian Ephemra pieces all misted and inked up!

I added a few pearls to the flowers for dimension.

Use a few of your punches.. and you can make the paper even prettier!

Today over at the Jillibean Soup blog - I have an accordian album up as one of my September projects using the new lines..I really mixed up bits and pieces of the lines - mostly used the Sweet & Sour line

The Kraft accordian album is super easy to make..!! It is all ready to go, just add photos, paper, and embellies! It is good for chunky things too, as you can stand it up afterwards. I love the size (4x4) - it is not too small and not to big either. My album is pretty sturdy and stands well!

Some Jillibean Love

I had a few cards go up on the Jillibean Blog on Monday... thought I would quickly share them with you today!

I did this first card for the Jillibean booth at CHA.. I love those felt blossoms.. and now, sadly, I am out. :( I need more in every colour! they are so pretty!

oh, and I am in love with that edge punch from Martha Stewart.. love the doily look of it!

and just a simple teacher card in the spirit of back to school that happened today in our neck of the woods...!

Used a bunch of different lines on this one, Apple Cheddar and Christmas Eve Chowder too!

Don't you love the Soup labels? The "thank you" sentiment is from the Card Sentiments soup labels .. love that. Makes it so easy to whip a card together!

It is a new month and a new reveal of what I have been working on for Let's Capture Our Memories!

I was lucky enough to have Girls Paperie - Kitch this month, along with a few other goodies!

Here is the page I created with it:

I did a lot of fussy cutting of the quilt pattern and stitched over it.

I mixed in some Crate Paper - Emma's Shoppe chipboard with it and it went perfectly with the line too. You can see a few peeks of it in these photos.. along with some buttons and Maya Mist in Hydrangea Blue and Red.

Don't you love the Pink Paislee Artisian Ephemra.. can't believe I waited this long to pick it up and now it is sold out!! I left it plain here.. but I will show you later on this month what else you can do with them.

Hope you like it - I am so sad that Girls' Paperie is no more.. I have always loved their lines.. :(

I stuck pretty close to the sketch this time around. Love the big circle and all those stars.. I instantly thought of doing a boyish page...love that Studio Calico paper I have been hoarding for about a year ! lol

This months' kit over at Scrapbook Circle is full of new CHA goodies, including the new

American Crafts line - Amy Tangerine!!

Here is one quick page I did last night with it!

I just really love the bright colours - so I wanted to keep the background neutral... added a little spritz or two with some glimmer mist..

I love the canvas buttons that came in the kit. I had a larger square sized one.. and layered a free cut heart on top of it. I actually am surprised that I love this shade of pink/purple...but I do :)

I punche out a few circles from this way cool paper and pop dotted a couple for a layered effect.
