Silhouette Favorite Things Blog Hop!

Good Morning! Today, the Design Team for Silhouette is having a blog hop of our favorite Silhouette things! 

I am very excited to be on the blog today to share with you a project made with one of my favorite Silhouette products - Printable Gold Foil! It is so easy to use  and I just love the hint of shine and glam it brings to projects.

Today, I am going to share with you a super easy way you can add just a touch of sparkle and shine very easily using the Printable Gold or Silver Foil.

Here is the project I created.

You can see that I added god foil to my homemade embellishment circles and title. Here is how you do it in just a few quick steps:

1) Select and size the design you want to add a little glam to. Cut your design out of your favorite paper and set aside.

2) Keeping the design and size the SAME - use your knife tool to draw a horizontal line at any point through the design shape.

For my title I went through the middle, but for the circle embellishments, I changed up the position of the cut.

3) Now that the shape is in multiple pieces, you will need to group together the top and then the bottom halves.

4) Once you have done that, you can move the bottom half down and delete one of the halves. The design you are left with is what you will cut from the Printable Foil.

5) Load the foil into your Silhouette machine and cut the design. Layer the foil pieces directly over your paper design you cut in step #1. Your shapes are now all shiny and glammed out!
