September Nook kit!

It's the last kit for My Scrapbook Nook - it is full of Echo Park For the Record 2 - and I got to play along this month!

Here are my four projects:

 Although the paper seems masculine, I love the floral accent papers in the collection paired with a pretty damask :)

 But the collection really is great for boys : 

Hard to tell, but I cut out a bunch of confetti with my cameo using one of my Jillibean Soup studio files and stitched it behind some vellum here :

I love this pretty light blue patterned paper - and the mix of yellow with it is pretty!

 

This page didn't quite turn out as I hoped -but I do love the white mist from October Afternoon with the doily mask on the darker paper - shows up really well! 

 I think I spritzed it about 5 times to make it this opague:

Jillibean Soup Soup Staples II

Did you see the new Soup Staples II that were released at summer CHA 2012 ?? 

Let me tell you - they are one of my new absolute faves!!!! I used them for this month's sketch project over at Jillibean Soup - check it out here. There is still time to play along!

 I am still ga ga over these fun red corrugated alphas from Jillibean Soup!!

I am always a fan of the diecut sticker sheets.. I use them a lot!!

and check out this sweet rainbow of colour- I used both sides to create this - polka dots on one side and chevrons on the other!!!  

Can't wait to get my greasy paws on the new Jillibean/Unity stamps too... 

still LOVE the Sweet & Sour Soup ones!

Been off kilter a little the last few days - must be vacation mode!!! Been doing lots of scrapping... working on my last few assignments for My Scrapbook Nook - my last month on the DT is August... the site is closing down and this will be my last kit.

I made this with this month's kit at My Scrapbok Nook - full of Simple Stories Summer Fresh!

 It is hard to tell, but I did cut out some of the mini hexagons on the paper and added some smaller scraps behind it.. stitche over some too :) Just cause that is how I roll! lol

I love that the kit has chipboard alphas, a larger sticker & a smaller mini alpha

Celebrate Summer

June Nook Kit!!

It is Summer Fresh over at My Scrapbook Nook - not only do we have a kit full of Simple Stories - Summer Fresh & Jillbean Soup goodies, but there is a cool "crop" going on summer long!

Here are a couple layouts I did using the June kit:

 I just love the Jillibean clouds, lightly swiped with some cream paint

 and I took the green off the American Crafts letters to make them neutral! :)

Lots of layers on that page. Hard to see.. but I went a wee bit pop dot crazy!

I finally broke out my Sizzix and doily die - and made some with the great Simple Stories papers for this page here :

The go really great with the Wiilton ones I had in my stash too. Love all those yummy stickers in the kit too! Great for layering and stitching all over!!

 I just love a messy edge these days - with certain lines of paper - so, I roughed it up a bit here:

I have been a little AWOL from the online world the last couple of days. Soccer is just about wrapping up, I have some DT assignments coming up and I have been working on a few DT apps too :)

 I just love the different colours and patterns in this line!

 lots of chunkiness in real life too :) getting used to my glitter paper from American Crafts I have been hoarding for YEARS.

 and who doesn't love a good camera!! I added that from some paper in my stash ;)

It has been one of those weeks - crazy, busy and so tiring!! I swear, I could sleep now until tomorrow morning. I have been busy volunteering at the school, scrapping and just living my crazy life and it has taken a toll! I am totally exhausted. All this craziness is not making it easy for me to sleep either :(

The daliy grind

yep, I am feeling a lot of the daily grind these days - I snuck my camera into work a while back and took a few shots of my desk and my everyday... The My Scrapbook Nook's april kit was perfect for these photos! I particularly love that cork paper from the Crate Paper - Storyteller line :) I am loving making an arrowy/chevron pattern these days.. and it is really simple too.. Just cut a piece of paper whatever thickness you want..then bend it together and cut on an angle.. :) I know, I should have been a brain surgeon right... lol

I have been not feeling very scrappy or talkative lately.. the weather has improved my mood a little, but for whatever reason - I have no mojo !! I just want to sleep all day long :) Ever feel like that!?

I am excited to go scrapping this weekend with my bestie Vanessa - she is a postive and happy person. good to me... and be around.. can't wait!! Let's hope Mr. Mojo returns before then... and brings me a couple pizza boxes this week that I am expecting too :) That will help!

Ok, strange title, but I am in that kind of mood today. I just wanted to share a quick page I made using the Feb. kit from My Scrapbook Nook this month - featuring October Afternoon Sasparilla! I hear Sasparilla is tough to find in these parts...lol, so why not pick up the kit and save yourself a boat load of trouble - partner ;)

Anyways, here is my page for today:

 I love the tone on tone blues in this damask paper.. and the little splashes of red in this collection!! I did a little of messy stitching on this page.. you can't really see it great, except in real life.

  and thanks for the tip about my sewing machine..I don't know what happened...but I reloaded my bobbin and whammo --- my tension is fixed! whew? hope it stays, if not, I will have to fiddle with my sewing machine more. I cannot scrap without it ;) It is my go-to tool!

That seems pretty appropriate for some of the projects I have done this month for My Scrapbook Nook. The kit this month is full of western goodies from October Afternoon Sasparilla.

I thought it would be perfect for these campfire photos I had of the kids in the fall on a family picnic at the park.

I just love that woodgrain paper.. So fun right!!! The Flower sack pack makes the embellishing easy peasey too :)

Today, I wanted to share another page using this super cute kit from My Scrapbook Nook

It was my turn to post a challenge - and this time I had the designer showcase - I chose a few fun quilted pinspiration pieces to come up with this page:

 I drew inspiration from the first pinterest piece I posted. I really want to keep it kind of simple and use a lot of paper... so this was what I came up with! Like it :) Not my normal kind of messy thing, but I think the photo stands out a lot and that is important - right?

 Can't get enough of those Cosmo Cricket sentiments from my stash.. just had to add one here :

It has been a whirlwind scrapping weekend for me again.. I got 2 pizza boxes with some gorgeous kits... going to share a quick page I did using the kit for February from My Scrapbook Nook

 the kit is FILLED with October Afternoon Sasparilla - love this denim paper, and I am addicted to the flower sacks.. all the diecut/punched shapes are awesome for layering!

 And this twine I had in my stash- thanks to Deborah ;) I picked up a few more of the October Afternoon sprinklers that were an add-on this month ... I love the chalky, opaque look on the page when I splatter them :)

 I did three from this kit this weekend - here is  a peek of another page I did using the same kit, will share it later this week ;) I love all the neat patterns .. this page shows almost all of them!

I wish I had some cute Valentine's Day projects to share.. but, sadly no.. :( I have been pinning lots of cute stuff on pinterest though.. have you been making anything for your kids or significant other for the big love day tomorrow? link me up - would love to see!
