Tough decisions are hard!

Just stopping by the blog today to share a bit of news.

If you haven't seen, Lily Bee Design was having a DT call. I have struggled with the decision to reapply or not, and in the end decided to step down from the team.

I have a post going up next week that will be my last. It's tough when you really love the products, but it was the right time for me to leave. I am going to miss the great group of girls I worked with there, but I know we will keep in touch too!

Here are a couple of my favorite projects from my time with Lily Bee Design:

For the new team, that I think they are choosing now, GOOD LUCK!

Lily Bee Design 2 pager week

Yes, you read that correctly - 2 pager week at Lily Bee Design.  What was I thinking signing up for a project during that week? It has been roughly 6 years or so since I have done a decent 2 page layout. Well, I take that as a challenge!

I am offering up the sketch this month too - here it is in case you want to play along with us:
And, here is my page using lots of the new We Are Family collection (a new fave of mine!!)

I found the page came together super quickly for me - what I thought was going to be tough, turned out really easy! This was a great opportunity to add lots of photos and a large title, using a cut file from Kerri Bradford. Her handwriting basically rocks!!

I added some punched circles and then added some stitching around them to be quilt-like - something I am big into lately. I added a few brads and voila - page was done!

So, it really wasnt' that big of a deal and I do like the result. I think there will be more in my future :)

Now it's your turn to play along.. check the Lily Bee blog and show us your stuff on our Facebook page!

Lily Bee Design coolur inspiration week!

Happy Monday! I am kicking off a new week over on the Lily Bee blog this week & it's all about colour!

I chose this color inspiration piece to start off my page:

Here is the page I created using lots of the new Urban Autumn collection:
I added in some of the new wood veneers, daily deck cards and a metal badge. Believe it or not, I love that rich purpley color!

Make sure you are following us on the Lily Bee Design blog all week for tons of color inspiration projects!

Lily Bee free cut file!!!

HEY scrappers!!! I am excited to be here today to share a fun Lily Bee Design page and a FREE cameo cut file!

This week on the Lily Bee Design blog the theme is "Write it down"... and since my day was also digital download day, I created this freebie cut file for those Silhouette Cameo lovers out there:

Take a look at the page I made with this file:
I used a lot of stamps and letter stickers on this page, and love using those fun mini ABC stickers for journaling onto the page directly :

I had a lot of fun embellishing the empty circle space on my page with stamps and punched pieces of paper:

If you want to download the free cut file - just click HERE

Stay tuned, my next Lily Bee page will be with the new lines that were just released!!!

Lily Bee Design projects!

I really need to get back into the regular blog mode - I am here today to share 2 projects I made for Lily Bee Design this week!

This week - the theme is "white space", which... I have a hard time with!! I love to add lots of paper, so my interpretations are pretty liberal :)

I pulled out the Autumn Spice collection from last year and added in some goodies from the newest collections too!
I made a fall banner with my cameo - to download the file - click HERE

The sketch challenge went up today - here is a peek at the sketch and my take on it:

I managed to add a lot of stitching to my page by cutting some small squares to add into the center of the polaroid frames on the paper. I am really into the whole quilted look these days!
I hope you will play along with us this month !!!

Check out the Lily Bee blog today for all the details!

Lily Bee Design!

Well, I am back at my "day job" today after being off for a month with the kids this summer. My job is fine, but a little boring and tedious...so, while I count down the hours until I am off, why not leave you with a project and a freebie right!?

I created this project for Lily Bee Design today, with a free cut file using Lily Bee hearts :)

To create the page, I cut the white heart background with my Cameo and then added some different variations on red/pink behind the heart background.

I kept a few of the white hearts and stitched them with my title onto my photo to fill in some of the space.

I also added in a bunch of stickers and chipboard from the Lily Bee collections along one side of the page to balance out the photo a bit.

So, I mentioned freebie right?? If you are interested in this heart background:

you can download it HERE for free! ENJOY!!

I would love to see what you do with this, if you do download... please link me up in the comments section on my blog, or upload to the Lily Bee Flickr group!

All month long on the Lily Bee Blog, we have been sharing pages created with PageMaps by Becky Fleck!

I just love the rich navy tones mixed with pops of red and yellow too! I can't get enough of the different woodgrain patterned papers - definitely a go to for me :)

Lily Bee Design + Pagemaps = Awesome!

Lily Bee Design has partnered up with Becky Fleck and Pagemaps for June !

Becky created her fabulous sketches and sent them to some of the Lily Bee DT and here is my page using a mix of Destination, and the Sweet Shoppe collections:

I had lots of fun layering stickers and journal cards along with chipboard embellies:
I just adore this polaroid paper in the Destination collection! I could use it over and over again! And the mix of different patterns on woodgrains... well, it is amazing!

You can check out the sketch I used, along with all the other sketches the Lily Bee DT played with this month in the June Pagemaps on the Pagemaps site!

Have a good weekend - hope the weather is great wherever you are :)

Lily Bee Design Chipboard Embellishments

Lily Bee Design came up with some cool chipboard embellishments at winter CHA! I can't get enough of them!!

Today, Summer Fullerton and I are sharing some quick cards, using these fun chipboard embellishments!

I created three cards using a mixture of all three sets of chipboard:

I have always been a fan of buttons, so the chipboard buttons were no different for me! I used a few to make little flowers in this window created with the chipboard polaroid frame and fence.

Next up, I just simply added a few quick buttons to this card to fill in a gap on the label sticker sentiment:

and lastly, I used the tiny chipboard banners/pennants to embellish the quilted pattern that I made with lots of fun scraps from Pinwheel and Sweet Shoppe paper collections.

Please stop by the Lily Bee blog to see what Summer came up with too and follow along all week, as our team shares some great creations using this new great embellishment :)
