Silhouette - Simply Adore You

Hello hello! I hope you are having a good day - I am stopping by to share a page I made for Silhouette this month using some fabulous Karla Dudley cut files.

I adore the stacked sentiments in the Silhouette Design store and used on on this page here:

I really kept it quite simple, just using the diecut shapes simply stitched down and a small amount of enamel dots and canvas stars by Simple Stories

Making this page was quite simple, just some basic cardstock and a My Mind's Eye Jubilee paper pad. I love the bold colors and patterns in the collection and had fun diecutting a bunch of simple shapes to create pattern on my page.

Hope you like it! I am in major mojo these days and have lots of projects to share with you :) Stay tuned for more :)

It's that time of the month again where I offer up a new free cut file to the Scrapbook and Cards Today readers over on the SCT blog.

Here is the page I created with the cut file this month. I focused on the new year and even journaled (gasp I never do that)...

I layered a bunch of the cut squares over each other and left some as is.

I hope you will check out the freebie HERE ... and while you are there...please leave me some love so I know people are checkin it out :)

Don't forget to come back tomorrow for another Bella Blvd reveal and chance to win before you can buy it!

June Scraptastic kit!

I was super excited to get my June Scraptastic kit in the mail last week - just in time for the weekend!

I got straight to work on this project here, that hit the blog on Monday.

This month's theme is Triangles so I got straight to work on cutting a ton of triangles to create this background.

The papers in this kit are fun and very masculine and work well to create this hip, youthful background for the layout. I added in more triangle embellishments in the form of stickers and pieces of the Basic Grey banner in the kit:

Please check out the Scraptastic blog regularly as it is always full of great inspiration from the Scraptastic DT!

Summer inspo on the Scrapbook& Cards Today blog!

Hello friends... this week, I am sharing a bit of summery inspiration over on the Scrapbook and Cards Today blog.

I found these images on pinterest, and got to work to create a card and layout using these pieces I found on Pinterest as inspiration!

I created this card using mainly the stripes as the start of my inspiration:

Supplies: Patterned Paper: Simple Stories; Buttons: October Afternoon; Stamps: Kelly Purkey

I created a sun shape with my Cameo and created these flowers with it and a few buttons:

Next up, I created this layout, using the same sun shape from my Cameo, along with the same striped theme and bright summery colour scheme:

Supplies: Patterned Paper, stickers, stamps: Bella Blvd., Echo Park; Enamel Dots: My Mind’s Eye

I also created the "summer" title and these circled hearts on my Cameo too:

If you like these - you may want to stop by the Scrapbook & Cards Today blog tomorrow :)

It's Scraptastic!!

I have had a wee little secret for a while now.. I was asked to be on the DT for an awesome kit club - Scraptastic Kit Club!

I received my first kit this month - When Skies are Grey - full of Pink Paislee and more... and here are a couple pages I did with it!
I made a couple pie charts and stapled some hemp twine into a heart shape and added on a few of my wood veneer stars (that I am coveting right now...lol)
the next page was for a Layer It up challenge to the DT - I used my cameo to cut the starred background to match a tag included in the kit - each month there are cuts in the kit created just to match the kit! so, if you don't have a Cameo - you still get the same look when you get the kit!
Love that!!
Here are a couple close ups of the layering.. I picked up that cute flair at Crop & Create Saskatoon... registration for Winnipeg is tonight!!!

Be back later this week with a few more pages with this kit - I love the grey/yellow combo... so versatile and yummy!!!

Sports Freak

I am back to share with you a page I did for Scrapbook Circle this month, using the June Field Notes kit

Another great thing I love about this kit is all the fun colours - there is the bold yellow and mix it with some olivey green and even teal - heaven!
I just love the Echo Park letters -and that you get 2 different fonts is perfect for layered titles!
I am in LOVE with the washi tape by Bella Blvd that was in the kit too - all messy stitched, it is perfection !
I hope you have checked out the ideas gallery and snatched up a kit - if not, what are you waiting for!
Check it all out HERE

I just LOVE this funky wood grain paper -love the multiple colours and tones in this paper:
the Echo Park stickers are just super great for layering !
I went a little distress crazy! I added in a bit of twine with my Tim Holtz tiny attacher:
There are tons of ideas flowing in the DT ideas gallery and being loaded to the Scrapbook Circle facebook page! I hope you will share your Scrapbook Circle kit creations with us!

Cottage kits!

I was super excited when Sharon from The Scrapbook Cottage here in Winnipeg approached me to do a few pages using the June "Cottage Kit"! It is full of goodies from Crate Paper Storyteller, Bazzill, Jenni Bowlin and Studio Calico!

Here is my first page - I used today's sketch from Creative Scrappers (by me) #211:

I added in some of my My Minds Eye doily stamps that I have been hoarding - they go really great with the doily patterm in the red tag in this line.

Make sure you check out the site - the kit is not listed yet, but the May kit is still online and available! June will be listed very soon! You don't want to miss out!

6x6

Hi again - I am back to share with you another quick project I made using a 6x6 paper pad found her at LCOM

This time, I used a different 6x6 paper pad - again My Mind's Eye - but tried to use larger pieces on the page. Again, I used a 12x12 piece of paper for the base of my page:

As you can see- I used the papers as a grid for my page. Then, I punched some circles out of the same paper and pop dotted it over the pattern to create a little interest:

One of my favorite things about My Mind's Eye paper is how well it distressed. You really can manipulate it and get it all messy if that is what you like - like this:

I picked up some of my Elle's Studio stash that I had been hoarding and used a bunch of different tags for all the journalling on the page. Right now there are 36 different ones in the store!!! 36!
I trimmed a few into different shapes too:

and added some letters/numbers to the ones I did have to make them work for my page. Some were blank, some had other notes written on them:
What I love about the Elle's Studio tags is all the different shapes and designs on them. I couldn't quite fit all teh journalling I wanted on them, so I typed it out on the computer, printed it and added it to the tags themselves:
Make sure you check all this out on the shopping page HERE.. and make sure to come back to see more inspiration from our April Marketing Team :)

April at LCOM

So, this month, I though I would take a different angle at my assignments. I browsed through the LCOM store and there was SO much I wanted to get - and sadly, I couldn't!!! But, there were ways for me to get some of the things I really wanted and not break my budget either!

The main thing I got was a couple paper pads - nope, not 12x12 - 6x6. Really, the main difference is that the patterns are smaller in size - but really - I don't think it makes a difference!

Here is a page I created using just a 6x6 paper pad + 1 other 12x12 sheet for a base for the layout:

You can tell that the patterns are smaller -but I think it fits! Check out closer up and see.
The patterns on the papers work just as good smaller as larger!! If you didn't know... I bet you wouldn't even know it was made with a smaller sized paper!

and i just have to say that these are my new favorite letters from American Crafts:
*** and they come in a bunch of different colours too ***

I chose a couple lines by My Mind's Eye from the store to work with - but there are 6x6 paper pads by all these manufacturers in the store right now:

other supplies:

I have another project to share with you this week using the smaller size- come back and check it out! :)
Of course, make sure you check out what is NEW at LCOM this month!

Simple Stories + MME funday =

one slightly pickle crazy kid...!

This is my oldest on his 8th birthday...yes, he asked for pickles... and well, my sister thought it was hilarious to buy him a big container of them! lol

I never thought he would actually want the pickles.. but apparently - he did! That kid is something, that is for sure!

For this page, I used more of the MME Funday and some Simple Stories that I got from Let's Capture Our Memories for this month! The two lines go really well together!
The kraft goes so well with the colours in the Simple Stories yearography line. I just love the fun patterns on this paper! I added in some Bella Blvd. letters to the mix too.. funny enough these are called "pickle"..lol the green is so fun and I love the polka dots!

I just finished off a few more projects for March for LCOM... I will share something with you this week too!

This is what life is all about.

.. it really is. I am grateful for these three kidlets - although sometimes they drive me mental - lol, they are my world and I don't know what I would do without them. They are all so unique - yet I see the similarities between them too. it is the little moments like these that we should cherish so deeply.

This was made with the February kit from Scrapbook Circle. I have fallend head over heals for this warm shade of yellow mixed with the browns and touches of teal... yummmmyyyy...lol

I cut up the tag a little and punched it too - not a new thing out there, but added some baker's twine behind the punched shape and this is what happened:
I needed more twine to fill the heart up completly, so I used some extra patterned paper I had a scraps of from the kit. I kind of like how it turned out! Aren't the two alphas on the Crate sticker sheet fun!
Hope you picked up your kit - they sold like hotcakes -and the next kit is full of more new CHA goodies!!!
 I can't wait to get mine :)
