bit of a catch up...

.. and a toot!!

First up, here are my last few projects for Jillibean Soup that were up on the blog in January:
I love the birthday theme of Spotted Owl soup - and the colours were perfect with these photos of my yongest son at his outdoor birthday party last summer! Check out the awesome Jillibean / Unity Stamps ..,. I love those Sweet & Sour stamps!!!
 My failed attempt at candles...lol..
my sewing maching is not co-operating these days in the tension department... anyone have any tips for me!?!!! The zig zag is especially not working well :(

I was going to share with you a card that I created for CHA ... but it was picked up at CHA from Paper Creations!!! so, I will show you a sneak instead!
(psst... it was up on the JBS blog on Monday)

Jillibean has come out with some cute coin envelopes, and glassine envelopes this CHA.I used one of the glassine envelopes on this card (behind the corrugated frame). I did punch a bunch of hearts from the paper and put it in the envelope - hard to see in the photo. I also just LOVE the new Cool Beans - Jillibean buttons that came out too. I could use them on every project, they are so great!

Make sure to check out all the great projects on the Jillibean blog this month to see all the new CHA goodies in action!!!

Looks great. Nice bright colours and the stitching does not look failed to me.
I think your bobbin tension just needs adjusted.

LOVE LOVE LOVE our pages Nic your just rocking right now. With your sewing machine did you ever clean out the inside (behind the bobbin) and oil it a bit with a cotton tip? I actually have my tension set to 0 on my machine. HTH

I LOVE the birthday LO!!!
My sewing machine went screwy a year ago. Turns out I was using the wrong size bottom bobbin. It was too small and got shaky, giving a tension problem with loose thread. I also had it professionally cleaned and serviced. The guy had been in business for almost 60 years...Hmmmmm....Also, they say to change the needle after 9 hours of work. It gets less sharp and is more prone to break off.
Good luck with the sewing machine. You completely rock. You're such an inspiration.
