Crop and Create Moncton sneaks!

Good morning! Tonight is open registration for Crop and Create Moncton - an event put on by Scrapbook and Cards Today Magazine! I am happily teaching 2 classes at this fun event!

My first class is all about COLOUR!

Life is colourful, and so should our preserved memories! In this workshop we will learn that colour matters!  We will use a kit full of colour and pattern to combine different colour combinations into a double page layout and a single page layout using beautiful products from Fancy Pants Designs, Crate Paper and Dear Lizzy!

If you read my blog, you know that I love patterned paper and in this next class we will be creating some fun items with paper! You can do SO much with paper!

(SOLD OUT SORRY!)

If patterned paper is your first love, you will love Playful Paper! In this workshop, we will combine patterned paper with some trendy embellishments to create a double page spread and a single page layout. You will love learning modern and fun ways to use patterned paper - Get your trimmers ready to trim, fold and layer paper and embellishments using the Pink Paislee Memorandum collection!

I love the class kits for these 2 classes - the color class is my favorite :)

If you are attending, I would love to see you in my classes! These should be good ones :)

Crop and Create - Cornwall!

Not sure if I have shared this or not... but I will be teaching two classes next weekend at a Scrapbook and Cards Today magazine event - Crop and Create - in Cornwall, ON Canada!

I am super excited, I hear the classes are filling up - there are still some spots available if you are interested in attending the event.

The Crop and Create events put on my the magazine are top notch - lots of great class options, free make and takes, a fun photobooth and lots of fun prizes too!!! Oh, and did I mention that this event in particular includes your meals?? It really is a good value for an event such as this! I am teaching two classes.

The first class is using Diecut shapes on your pages - you know those large diecut designs that you just don't know what to do with? I am lucky enough to have my class sponsored by Jillibean Soup, so this one is full of Jillibean Soup Placemats, papers and embellies!

Here is a sneak of that class:

Next up is a class on Patterned paper - my favorite embellishment... lol! I am hoping to inspire students to look at paper differently, and think outside the rectangle! We will create pages using different shapes and patterns of paper.. here is a peek at those projects using one of the American Crafts Dear Lizzy lines:

You can check out all the details on Crop and Create Cornwall over on their site HERE.

Cocoa Daisy and some news!

Good morning!! I am super exhausted from a busy long weekend at our house. Yesterday was Victoria Day up here in Canada, and even though I had a few extra days off work, I am so tired today!! Why does that happen..!

I did manage to get lots of creative time in this weekend, which was great. I have been suffering in the ol' mojo department as of late... and hoping that is turning around!!!

I have a little bit of news to share today, along with a few sneaks of upcoming projects. I have been asked to teach two classes at Crop and Create Cornwall this fall!

If you have not heard of Crop and Create before - let me fill you in.

Scrapbook and Cards Today Magazine puts on several premiere events across Canada throughout the year - you can crop and attend classes with talented instructors, shop, do free make and takes and just have lots of creative fun! I am very excited to be included in the Cornwall event - along with Vicki Boutin, Nicole Harper, Beth Kingston and Angie Blom!

There will be lots of great classes. I am teaching two - I will have sneaks up for you later this week :)
You can check out all the info on Crop and Create on the Scrapbook and Cards Today site HERE

I am also up on the Cocoa Daisy blog today, along with some other DT members, with a Designer challenge for May - all about ME! I have shared my page before, but here it is again in case you missed it.

I would love it if you would stop by the Cocoa Daisy blog and say HI and let us know what you think of our takes on the challenge! Do you ever scrap about yourself?? I do, and think it is very important - it's not just our kids in our family.. I want to be represented too in the family albums, I think it's important for my kids to see what and who I am as I grow old and maybe not fill them in on all those things about me.

If you have not heard of Crop & Create - it is a fantastic event held in Canada across the country - tons of great classes, fun photo booth, cropping, dessert buffets and goodie bags!

I have been a teachers assistant to both Vicki Boutin and Beth Kingston for several classes this past year and let me tell you - the classes are great! If you have a chance to attend - take a class or two, you won't regret it! The class kits alone are worth it!

Here are a few shots I have taken at different Crop & Create events in the photobooth :) It is a great way to connect with those ladies I have met online and would not normally have had the chance to interact with!

At each of the events, all the croppers get a fantastic goodie bag!!! Well, I have one to share with you today!

If you would like to win one of these goodie bags complete with paper, embellishments and even the spring issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine - just leave a comment below and you could win!

I'm Back.... :)

Wow, I am so tired today - got home late last night from a super scrappy weekend in downtown Peg City with the ladies from Scrapbook and Cards Today and Crop & Create!

There was about 140 people there - so many scrappers in one place was awesome!! 6 great vendors, prizes, dessert, , photo booth with props, flowers on every table, make and takes, lunch, challenges... and a variety of classes if you were into that too!

I helped TA two classes with Vicki Boutin - learned a few tricks myself - the technique class was jam packed full of tips and techniques.... new scrappers beware! lol

While I was away, my buddies Deborah and Jocie were left alone with my camera........

let your freak fly girls... lol

I was also lucky enough to meet Kimber McGray - my DT co-ordinator over at Jillibean Soup.
She is a doll! Glad we were able to meet, hopefully next time we can spend a little more time together!

On Friday night, we decided to go back upstairs afer the event was over and attempt to take a few photos - and then ventured outside to attempt to take a few shots there too!

All in all - I think it was a great experience! I would definately go again - the goody bags were incredible - the food was awesome, the prizes were NOT cheap.... and there was a great group of people too! We met a few nice ladies at our table... wish I had taken a photo ... but :(

So, I will leave you with these photos to decide if we had fun or not:

See ya next year at Crop & Create Winnipeg - or maybe Saskatoon if it is earlier ;)
