More Cocoa Daisy projects!

Hello! I am back on the blog today to share my last 2 projects using the Cocoa Daisy January kit - Pajama Time!

The exclusive papers in this month's kits were just plain amazing, and I used one as the background of this page.

There is an Amy Tangerine stitching set in one of the kits, and I used it to trace my title, instead of piercing with a needle. I added some stamping with the CD exclusive stamps in the kit too to some of the letters. Will use those stamps over and over again for sure.

My next page uses lots of Jillibean Soup that was in the kit - and if you have been a reader of this blog you will know that I design for Jillibean Soup and so I have a fondness for these items! I added some gold foil and gold glitter to the ends of the vellum feathers in the CD kit , along with some fun stickers in the kit by Pebbles Inc. You can see I used those stitching stamps again!

Lastly, or should I say initially - as I did this step before I did anything else - I used the Jillibean Soup mask in the main kit to create my title block. I traced it lightly with a pencil and then watercolored it in with gray watercolor paint. I did decide that it needed some ooomf... so I traced some of the words onto patterned paper and cut them out and popped them over top of the dry title. I like it better that way :)

Here is the whole thing all together!! That is it for this month's kit!

Last of Cocoa Daisy!

Happy Sunday ! I am starting to work on CHA assignments, but wanted to pop in to share my last few projects for Cocoa Daisythis month. Today's projects are all holiday themed, although the kits are not.

I decided to make just a few simple holiday card using some basics in the kit.

I made this fun snowman with my trusty circle punch and some cardstock. I added it to a background made with papers from the kit along with the chipboard alphas.

I made this card with some Cocoa Daisy exclusive paper, and exclusive stamps in the kit. The holly berries were stamped with 2 different red inks and some Jillibean Soup glitter (not in the kit) was added to the stamped images.

This last card has more Cocoa Daisy exclusive paper and Pebbles stickers in the kit. I cut the Christmas with my Silhouette.

Have a scrappy Sunday!!

More Cocoa Daisy

Good morning! I am back today to share a few more projects with the December - Monterey Bay - kits from Cocoa Daisy

This page uses some fun acrylic Cocoa Daisy exclusive houses that are in the main kit! They come in a few different colors - how fun are they!

It was a great way to force me to scrap a page about our city.

I used the AWESOME circle and ring stamps in the kit to stamp a background on one side of this page. I LOVE THESE STAMPS!

I also love the cut files this month, have been wanting to use a + sign background and this was my chance!!

I used lots of the http://www.cocoadaisy.com/forum/ exclusive papers to back the + signs.

I will be back tomorrow to share a few holiday items made with these kits!

Cocoa Daisy Reveal night!

Hello and happy friday! Right now, it is December kit reveal time over at Cocoa Daisy! Today, I am sharing a couple projects I made using the December kit and addons ... yes, I couldn't resist getting all of them this month!! Lots of Amy Tangerine Stitched collection in this kit!

Here is the first page that I created, which is also based on this month's sketch challenge that will go live on December 1.

Lots of great embellishments and papers that are perfect for layering, as you can see. Love the watercolor feel in the Stitched collection.

This page was created with a cut file I created and cut from Silhouette adhesive cardstock. I added lots of small pieces of the different kit papers to the back of most of the open areas and then placed it over the grey cardstock from the kit.

Since the background is quite busy, I used a simple photo and a few embellies to cluster around it.

That is it for me today.. I'll be back tomorrow with a few more projects with this kit!

It's reveal time for the November kit over at Cocoa Daisy - Weathervane went live for subscribers on the 28th ... and it goes on sale to everyone on Nov.1 .

This month's kit is autumn+modern - that is how I describe it. Lots of pops of colour in this one.. love that.

Here are my last two projects with this kit!

It's not often I do a lot of journaling, but for this page I typed out a timeline of sorts to describe my day... everyday!

Hope you stop by Cocoa Daisy and check out this kit!

Cocoa Daisy - Weathervane!

Last night was reveal over at Cocoa Daisy - our November kit - Weathervane went live for subscribers! I know I say it every month... but this one is so great, you have to head over and snag it if you can! Kits go on sale Nov.1 if you are not a subscriber.

Here are the first couple pages I created with this kit and 2 of the addons (Here & There and Windchime) I made 4 layouts with the kits, and could probably do at least 5 more pages, if not more.

I love the Heidi Swapp September Skies line in the kits.. I love this bright happy green and knew I wanted to cut a large title from it right away. You can see that there are some great autumn embellies in the kit and I cut some leaves by hand, out of the silver vellum in the kit to layer behind some of the cork and metal leaves..

I also found that, although there were some great navy and green papers, there were so many fun floral and "pretty" papers in this month's kits that I created this feminine page of my daughter and her love of being in dance.

Just love those Heidi Swapp transparent and die cut shapes. They are really amazing and the clear words are just perfect for layering!

Hope you enjoyed these projects - and hope you stop by to get your kit (if you haven't already)! Please let me know what you think of my projects, I appreciate your feedback!

Silhouette + pie charts

Sometimes you just want to pull a scrapbook page together very quickly. When I want to do this, I grab my leftover project pieces and get to work. I have found that one of my favorite ways to do this is combining Adhesive Backed Cardstock and my scrap pile of papers!

I used some of my leftovers from the October Cocoa Daisy kit - Blue Ridge to make this page!

I quickly downloaded the Rotating Pie Chart design from the store a few months ago when it was a free shape! I thought it would be great for a project like this one - a lot of little bits of paper!
I simply cut the designs from some white Adhesive Backed Cardstock and then added the pie pieces to the back of the design, letting my Silhouette cardstock do the work for me!

You can see that I did remove the circle from the middle of the Rotating Piechart as I didn't want it in my final design! I was able to add in tons of little papers behind each "pie" piece easily because of the cardstock.

You can easily leave some of the spots empty to let your background images show through!

Have a great day!
