Mission #33

the MC is back this year with mission # 33 and our first mission of 2011 !!

This was hit home a lot for me right now.. the twist that Deborah chose this week was to use song lyrics from the Miley Cyrus song "The Climb". If you really listen to the song, or read the lyrics, it could be either uplifting or depressing ...lol...

so, here is my page.. a tad depressing.. I don't do with with that concept at all. I like to believe I am a more uplifting person, but the topic I thought of for this page, depressed me!!

Maybe in the end it is more therapeutic. This marks a year of change for me. The smaller photo was taken a few weeks before I found out 2.5 years ago that I was pregnant with Addison. You can see how much weight I have gained since then- the larger photo was from Feb of 2010 and I am basically that size now.

Well, the page is done, my feelings are now documented and it wil be good for me to use this page to reflect on WHY I need to stay focused and remember that nothing tastes as good as skinny feels.

Hope when you play along you are inspired too!

Monday's Child

Mission 31 is up today over at Mission to Create, but amazing GDT Tonya Dirk!!

Please make sure to check out our blog.. we put a lot of work into it and LOVE seeing everyone's work!
Here is a quick share of my page based on this week's mission:

Used a lot of bits and pieces on this one of different collections that I was hoarding.. loved the colour concept this week and went with it! Love stitching some simple cardstock sticker alphas..gives a touch more colour and adds just a wee touch of texture too!

Hope you like it!

Mission 0030 is up!!

I am SO exicted to tell you all who our GDT was this week at Mission to Create!!!

Seriously, she is an incredible scrapbooker and artist....

I am personally a huge fan and when she emailed me to say YES, I was over the moon excited!

Here is the page I created with this week's mission in mind.. I have to say that I thoroughly LOVED this mission.. and am now in love with white, kraft and red (thanks Deborah!!) along with Girl's Paperie :O)

a few closeup shots:
I used my Just Cre8 stamps, and added some white embossing powder and heat set to get the white to really pop on the kraft.. not only do I LOVE these stamps... but I love the white on kraft effect too!

Hope you will check out the blog and play along with us for a chance to win a gift certificate from Tiny Seed Scrapbooking!!!

MC 0027

It is hard to believe that it has been one year since we started Mission to Create... ! Today marks our 1st anniversary/birthday and Mission 0027.

We have been so lucky to have so many talented GDT's join us this past year, generous sponsors and so many different missions to create from! I feel so lucky to be doing this with my best friends in the world, and our card team is incredible and what they do with our weird missions is truly amazing!
Today's mission is birthday themed -- and you will have to check out the blog HERE for the concepts. Our GDT this week is none other than Sasha Holloway!!!

Here is my take on this week's mission... the photo is not the greatest, I seriously tried at least 6 times and this was the best of the bunch

Oh, and trust me -- you will want to participate this month -- there are SEVERAL prizes to give away :)

Thanks for stopping by -- please do check out Mission to Create if you haven't already done so.. and maybe even post and say HI!

Mission 21 is up!!

This week, our GDt Natalie challenged us to make our own homemade flowers.. so I crinkled up some tissue paper (Jocie's concept) and made the flowers for this page! I think they turned out quite cute! I would definately do them again, it was SO easy!!

I can't believe this was our 21st mission!! man, how time flies! Hope you are all giving these challenges a go.. :)

Mission 0018

When you look that list of concepts this week.. I know what you will think..

CUPCAKES & OWLS??

Yes, I thought that too.. but that is how the missions work.. we all send in our lists of concepts ... and then they are compiled. We don't know what they other is listing until I put it all together!

Here is my page for this challenge.. so simple, but I love how it turned out!

Play along with all of us at Mission Create this week!! Don't be shy!

MC 0017

This week was a tough one for me.. It shouldn't have been a tough one, all the concepts actually seemed to go along with each other! but, I chose to mist too late in the game and not likin' the result! I do love hte other elements on the page, but not the misting!

This is a great week for all those that love the distressed/vintagy style of scrapbooking!! Lots of concepts you will love for sure! Check it out HERE

MC 0016

OK.. it is Mission to Create mission day again today..!

I have to admit...I had a wee bit of a hard time with this one.. getting all the concepts in.. but did it!! I really love using ALL 5 of the concepts each time.. and so far I have been successful!!!
Here is my page (did I mention I am loving making banners on pages too)

Our sponsor for April was Couture Cardstock.. I still had tons left over to use -- so I made this page again with their product! I just fell in love with this pink/coral colour.. I am lovin' it!!! A great thickness to their product as well! Every cardstock on this page was all Couture Cardstock!!
