Mission #33

the MC is back this year with mission # 33 and our first mission of 2011 !!

This was hit home a lot for me right now.. the twist that Deborah chose this week was to use song lyrics from the Miley Cyrus song "The Climb". If you really listen to the song, or read the lyrics, it could be either uplifting or depressing ...lol...

so, here is my page.. a tad depressing.. I don't do with with that concept at all. I like to believe I am a more uplifting person, but the topic I thought of for this page, depressed me!!

Maybe in the end it is more therapeutic. This marks a year of change for me. The smaller photo was taken a few weeks before I found out 2.5 years ago that I was pregnant with Addison. You can see how much weight I have gained since then- the larger photo was from Feb of 2010 and I am basically that size now.

Well, the page is done, my feelings are now documented and it wil be good for me to use this page to reflect on WHY I need to stay focused and remember that nothing tastes as good as skinny feels.

Creative Scrappers #137

Hope everyone had a happy holiday season...I have taken a wee blog vacation for a few weeks...but I am back today to share a quick page I did using this week's sketch over at Creative Scrappers!

Crate Paper, American Crafts, Cloud 9 Rain Dots, Basic Grey brads, misc. buttons,

Prima flowers, Maya road tag, Making Memories butterflies.

I hope to make this year a more creative one...how about you??? My friend Deena is doing the project 365 concept again this year.. she did over 600 projects last year!!! HOLY CRAP!!

I am doing my own little take on it this year.. I know there is no way I would get 365 projects done...BUT, I have decided that for every layout I do, I am going to make a card/altered project right after it with the same products... get more out of my stash and  it is a great way to get some cards done. (my friend Deborah and I sell at a local market in the summer)

I would love to hear what you have planned creatively for 2011!

Oh, and just a reminder to anyone local about a cool crop going on next month for a great cause!

Registration and payment is due by January 22, 2011... still lots of room left, would love to see everyone there!

Finally got a chance to scrap some of those Vegas photos from last year.. geez, wish I knew what I wanted to do with them! Love the accordian type flowers.. they are so chunky!

Used a lot of bits and pieces on this one of different collections that I was hoarding.. loved the colour concept this week and went with it! Love stitching some simple cardstock sticker alphas..gives a touch more colour and adds just a wee touch of texture too!
